The Socratic Party
TSP is intended to provide real democracy by allowing the party to change over time. As social and technological changes occur, we need to change our politics as well.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.
5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private employer, and most speak English.
6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.
7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.
8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.
9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.
10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.
11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)
12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.
You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.
This should be read and understood by all Americans Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!
To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,
It is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons:
a.. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.
b.. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.
c.. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.
d.. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.
e.. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.
f.. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.
g.. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.
You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.
AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ??

Lobbyist fronted Pakistani campaign donations, FBI says
New York Times

WASHINGTON -- Pakistan's military, including its powerful spy agency, has spent $4 million over the past two decades in a covert attempt to tilt U.S. policy against India's control of much of Kashmir -- including funneling campaign donations to members of Congress and presidential candidates, the FBI claimed in court papers unsealed Tuesday.
The FBI made the allegations in a 43-page affidavit filed in connection with the indictment of two U.S. citizens on charges that they failed to register with the Justice Department as agents of Pakistan, as required by law. One of the men, Zaheer Ahmad, is in Pakistan, but the other, Syed Fai, lives in Virginia and was arrested Tuesday.
Fai is the director of the Kashmiri American Council, a Washington-based group that lobbies for and holds conferences and media events to promote the cause of self-determination for Indian-controlled Kashmir. According to the affidavit, the activities by the group, also called the Kashmiri Center, are largely financed by Pakistan's spy agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate, or ISI, along with as much as $100,000 a year in related donations to U.S. political campaigns. Foreign governments are prohibited from making donations to U.S. political candidates.
A spokesman for the Pakistani Embassy denied any connection to the matter.
Law enforcement officials said Pakistan used a network of at least 10 unnamed straw contributors, which Ahmad helped organize,
to make the campaign contributions and donate the bulk of the Kashmiri Center's annual operating budget. The ISI would reimburse them -- or their families in Pakistan -- for the donations, the officials said.
The goal of the group, according to internal documents cited by the FBI, was to persuade the U.S. government that it was in its interest to push India to allow a vote in Kashmir to decide its future. The group's strategy was to offset the Indian lobby by targeting members of the congressional committees that focus on foreign affairs with private briefings and events, staging activities that would draw media attention and otherwise to elevate the issue of Kashmir -- the disputed region between India and Pakistan that each country controls in part but claims entirely -- in Washington.
The FBI said that there was no evidence that any of the lawmakers who received campaign funds from Pakistan were aware of its origins, and it did not name any of the recipients.

Stop Supporting H-1B Visa
To Representative Lamar Smith and all other Senators and Congressperson
H-1B Visas do not help the anyone's economy. Worse the practice has reached an immoral level closing in on the weapons trade and slavery. Support for expansion of these visas has turned me away from the republican party for good. While I am uniquely affected and specifically suffer because of these visa's, I believe that my position is based on fact and logical conclusions. Both of which are the mainstay of this blog. Lately I have noticed that I am interviewed by Visa Staff and not called back for positions where I am the perfect candidate, Yet these are filled by incompetent Visa staff shortly thereafter.
I do not have any blame or ill will for the person who accepts this opportunity, they are doing what they can for their family and themselves. I have many friends and contacts who are Visa staff. I blame the corporations for shortsightedness in not recognizing that they are outsourcing their own economy?
• As a technical tradesman my hourly expected wage has decreased by 40% over the last ten years because of the influx of competition by Visa contingent staff.
• The Corporate position that qualified individuals are not locally available is completely untrue and dishonest.
• Corporations have adopted a policy of NO SCHEDULE, NO OVERTIME which puts employees in the position of having to work 60 hours for 40 hours pay. US workers can look for a new job, Visa workers cannot complain without the ramification of being sent back to their country of origin.
• Just as US workers have access to agencies to protect their rights, visa staff know that any issues will result in the revocation of their visa.
• Visa workers do not spend the majority of their income here in the US, so our economy is less affected versus a US worker who may have paid for a better education and every penny is spent here.
• Any technical progress/invention is now the property of the host country. Automatic, Effective and complete industrial espionage sponsored by the US Government.
• Flight risk and security issues, Going home soon, Take a US customer database with you as you go.
I am equally concerned with US government bodies (State and Federal) outsourcing work overseas.
I had heard in the news that the CA unemployment phone line was answered in the Philipines but I have not been able to confirm.

The Publics need for a Line Item Veto
I sympathise with anyone in congress or the senate that really cares about
this county.
I can not tell who they are, The earmarks that GOP candidates are ranting on
are less than 5% of the total.
But Why are they in there in the first place.
It has become the Job of Every Senator and Congressman to "Bring Home the
Bacon"
How did the Govenor of minnesota put it.
"With billions of federal spending on the board, Minnesota needs two
senators to represent our needs fairly"
The way we right spending bills is all wrong.
I believe that we should put the money in defined buckets and let programs
apply for the money by meeting the criteria.
Here are some examples;
1. [40%] A Special Loan product through Fannie May for converting ARMS
to Fixed.
Criteria;
a. Borrower must have sufficient income to qualify for the fixed loan
rate.
b. Borrower can not Qualify for the Loan as it was issued or Exists.
c. Borrower can not have incurred new debt within 6 months.
2. [25%] Infrastructure development
Criteria;
a. State and City planned and funded with at least 50% of the project.
b. Ecologicaly Friendly
3. [25%] Eco Clean up Existing unfunded superfund sites
4. [10%] Scientific Research grants for
a. 100% Clean Automobiles (Already Existing Technologies)
b. Efficient Solar farming in Death Valley
